Founding Members
Henry R. Kravis
Co-Founder, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Henry Kravis, a pioneer of the private equity industry, co-founded Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. ("KKR") in 1976. For over thirty years, Mr. Kravis, along with KKR co-founder George Roberts, has led the firm in its growth into a leading global alternative asset manager. He is actively involved in managing the firm and serves on the Investment and Portfolio Management Committees. Prior to co-founding KKR, Henry Kravis was in the Corporate Finance Department of Bear Stearns & Company from 1969 to 1976. During this time, he, along with George Roberts and Jerome Kohlberg, pioneered the use of leverage in acquisitions. Henry Kravis earned a B.A. in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and an M.B.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Over the years, he has been a member of the board of directors of numerous public and private companies. He currently serves on the board of First Data Corporation. He also currently serves as a director or trustee of several cultural and educational institutions, including the Partnership for New York City, Mount Sinai Hospital, WNET.ORG (New York public television stations Thirteen - WNET and WLIW21), Columbia Graduate School of Business (where he is chairman of the board), Rockefeller University, and Claremont McKenna College. Mr. Kravis is co-chairman of the New York City Investment Fund (NYCIF), a non-profit organization he founded in 1996 to create jobs and help small businesses in New York City. In response to other targeted needs that have arisen in the city, the Fund has created special purpose programs. For example, the NYCIF was responsible for raising $11 million to provide 88 recoverable grants to small businesses in Lower Manhattan that suffered damage following the events of September 11, 2001. At Claremont McKenna College, he founded the Kravis Leadership Institute and established the Kravis Prize in Leadership, which is awarded annually to an international, non-profit organization that demonstrates leadership, creativity, and sustainability. Henry Kravis also serves on the board of the Council on Foreign Relations.
George R. Roberts
Co-Founder, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. George Roberts, a pioneer of the private equity industry, co-founded Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. ("KKR") in 1976. For over thirty years, George Roberts, along with KKR co-founder Henry Kravis, has led the firm in its growth into a leading global alternative asset manager. He participates in all of KKR's investment activities, and serves on the Private Equity Investment and Portfolio Management Committees. Prior to co-founding KKR, George Roberts was in the Corporate Finance Department of Bear Stearns & Company from 1969 to 1976. During this time, he became a partner at age 29 and, along with Mr. Kravis and Jerome Kohlberg, pioneered the use of leverage in acquisitions. After graduating from Culver Military Institute in 1962, George Roberts earned a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College in 1966, and a J.D. from the University of California (Hastings) Law School in 1969. He has been a member of the board of directors of numerous public and private companies, and he currently serves as a director or trustee of several cultural and educational institutions, including the San Francisco Symphony and Claremont McKenna College. George Roberts is founder and Chairman of the board of directors of REDF, a San Francisco non-profit organization. REDF uses the practices of venture philanthropy to create job opportunities through the support of social enterprises that help people gain the skills to help themselves.

Raj K. Agrawal	Investment Professionals - Private Equity	Menlo Park
Raj K. Agrawal joined KKR in 2006. He is currently a member of the Infrastructure team, previously having worked on the Energy and Natural Resources and Retail industry teams. He has been involved with the investment in, and is a member of the board of directors of Dollar General. Prior to joining KKR, he was a Vice President with Warburg Pincus, where he was involved in the execution and oversight of a number of investments in the energy sector. Mr. Agrawal's prior experience also includes Thayer Capital Partners, where he played a role in the firm's business and manufacturing services investments, and McKinsey & Company, where he provided strategic and M&A advice to clients in a variety of industries. He holds a B.A. with honors and distinction from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
Samuel D. Allen	KKR Capstone	Hong Kong
Samuel D. Allen joined KKR Capstone in 2006. He previously worked for McKinsey & Company, where he worked across a broad range of industries, and for AT&T Wireless where he was a Senior Manager focused on customer retention. At KKR Capstone, Mr. Allen has been involved with BIS, Seven Media, MMI Holdings, and Unisteel. He holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Max V. Alper	Investment Professionals - Private Equity	New York
Max V. Alper joined KKR in 2007 and is a member of the Media and Communications industry team. He has been involved with the firm's investment in The Nielsen Company. Prior to joining KKR, he was with SAB Capital, where he focused on investments in the media, communications and technology sectors. Before completing his M.B.A., Mr. Alper was with Madison Dearborn Partners and Morgan Stanley Capital Partners. He was involved in a number of investments in the healthcare, insurance, media and technology sectors at these firms. He holds a B.B.A. and B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Robert W. Antablin	Investment Professionals - Private Equity	Houston
Robert W. Antablin joined KKR in 2005 and during his time at the firm has been directly involved with numerous investments and portfolio companies. At KKR, Mr. Antablin has been involved with the firm's investments in Hilcorp Resources, East Resources and Energy Future Holdings. He has also had portfolio company responsibilities for ITC Holdings and Texas Genco. He is a member of KKR's Energy and Infrastructure team, and is involved with KKR Natural Resources, the firm's platform to acquire and operate conventional oil and natural gas assets. Mr. Antablin serves on the board of Hilcorp Resources. Prior to joining KKR, he was with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in its Industrials and Natural Resources Group, where he was involved in a number of merger, acquisition and financing transactions. He holds a B.S. with highest distinction from the William A. Schreyer Honors College of the Pennsylvania State University.
Joseph Y. Bae	Investment Professionals - Private Equity	Hong Kong
Joseph Y. Bae joined KKR in 1996 and is the Managing Partner of KKR Asia and member of the firm's Management Committee. During his tenure with KKR he has played a significant role in the investments in BIS Cleanaway, Borden, Elmers, Inc., MMI, PanAmSat, PRIMEDIA, Regal Cinemas, Seven, Shoppers Drug Mart, Visant, World Color Press and Yellow Pages Group. Currently, he is on the board of directors of BIS Industries, MMI, Unisteel, Seven, and Oriental Brewery. Mr. Bae, who had been located in the New York office, moved to Hong Kong in late 2005 to establish KKR's Asian operations. Prior to KKR, Mr. Bae worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co. in its Principal Investment Area, where he was involved in a broad range of merchant banking transactions. He has a B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard College.

Jamie Bolton joined KKR Capstone in 2008 from Accenture where he worked in a broad range of industries from Electronics and High Tech, Consumer and Industrial Products to Chemicals and Pulp and Paper. At KKR Capstone, Mr. Bolton has worked with Unisteel, MMI, SMG and Oriental Brewery. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from the University of Technology, Sydney and an M.B.A from the University of New England, NSW.

Scott Bookmyer	KKR Capstone	Hong Kong
Scott Bookmyer recently transferred to Hong Kong to become CEO of KKR Capstone Asia. He originally joined KKR Capstone in New York in 2002. He was previously with The Boston Consulting Group in their Chicago and Paris offices. While at BCG, Mr. Bookmyer worked with companies in the industrial, consumer goods, retail and financial services sectors. Prior to business school, he was a Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble. At KKR Capstone, Mr. Bookmyer has been involved with Energy Future Holdings (formerly TXU Corp.), Toys 'R' Us, Sealy and the Yellow Pages Group. He holds a B.A., with honors, from Indiana University, and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago.
John F. Bookout III	Infrastructure - Senior Executives	Houston
John F. Bookout III joined KKR in 2008. He was a Director of McKinsey & Company for 28 years. Most recently he was responsible for their 17 global industry practices. During his career with McKinsey, he spent six years as Managing Partner of its Los Angeles office and four years in London where he led McKinsey's European Energy Practice. Mr. Bookout also served as Managing Partner of the Texas Office, as co-leader of the North American Energy Practice, and as a member of McKinsey's Shareholder's Committee. He is a member of the board of directors of Tesoro and McDermott. He holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a bachelor's degree in Economics from Rice University.
Edward Bostock	Investment Professionals - Private Equity	Sydney
Edward Bostock joined KKR in 2007. He has been directly involved with the investment in Seven and serves on its board of directors. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Bostock spent three years as an Associate Director of Pacific Equity Partners focusing on private equity transactions in the Australasian region. Before joining Pacific Equity Partners, he was an Associate of avantcé LLC in the U.S. Mr. Bostock holds a B.S. from the University of Melbourne.
John Brakey	Client and Partner Group	Sydney
John Brakey joined KKR's Client and Partner Group in 2009. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Brakey was Head of Private Equity Fund of Funds in Macquarie Funds Group, the funds management arm of Macquarie Group. He was Chair of the Investment Committee and was responsible for the management of approximately AUD$5 billion of commitments in both domestic and international funds. Prior to that, Mr. Brakey was an Asset Consultant with Towers Perrin, advising on alternative asset classes, assessing private equity managers and developing Towers Perrin's alternative investment capabilities. He holds a B.Agr.Ec. with first class honors from the University of Sydney and holds a C.F.A. and an ASIA.
Edward Brandman	Senior Professionals	New York
Edward Brandman joined KKR as Chief Information Officer in 2007 from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a Managing Director in its Advisory Services group, focused on best-in-class technology strategies to support capital markets and trading activities for clients in the financial services and investments industries. From 2003 through 2006, Mr. Brandman was a Managing Partner at OMT Partners LLC, a boutique advisory firm. Prior to that, he founded and served for two years as the CEO of Renaissance Trading Technologies, a technology firm focused on trading solutions for the NYSE/NASDAQ markets. Before founding Renaissance Trading, Mr. Brandman was Chief Information Officer and Head of Electronic Trading at Robertson Stephens as well as a member of its Management Committee from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Brandman began his career at JP Morgan & Co. in 1991. He received a B.A. from Rutgers College.
Arthur J. Brohinsky	KKR Capstone	New York
Arthur J. (A.J.) Brohinsky joined KKR Capstone in 2009. He was previously with SmartOps Corporation, a manufacturing and supply chain solutions provider, as Executive Vice President. Prior to SmartOps, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company focused on operational improvement across a broad range of industries. Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Brohinsky worked in project, risk, and operations management roles for Shell Oil Company. Mr. Brohinsky holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with distinction from Cornell University and an M.B.A with honors from Harvard Business School.

Simon E. Brown joined KKR in 2003. Since then, he has been directly involved with the investments in Avago Technologies, The Boyds Collection, The Nielsen Company (formerly VNU Group), Sealy Corporation, SunGard Data Systems, and Walter Industries. He heads the Consumer Products and Services team in North America, and is currently a Member of the board of directors for The Nielsen Company. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Brown was with Madison Dearborn Partners for four years, focusing on leveraged investments in industrial companies. Prior to completing his M.B.A., he was with Thomas H. Lee Company and Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, where he was involved in a broad range of private equity transactions. Billy Butcher joined KKR in 2004 and is a member of the Financial Institutions and Industrials industry teams. In 2006 and 2007, he moved to Tokyo to assist in developing KKR's Asian operations. Michael M. Calbert joined KKR in 2000 and during that time has participated in the Shoppers Drug Mart, Toys 'R' Us, Dollar General, and U.S. Foodservice investments. He heads the Retail industry team and is currently on the board of directors of Dollar General, Toys 'R' Us, and U.S. Foodservice. Mr. Calbert served as Chief Financial Officer of Randall's Food Markets, ultimately taking the company through a transaction with KKR in June 1997. He left Randall's Food Markets after the company was sold in September 1999 and joined KKR. Mr. Calbert started his professional career as a consultant with Arthur Andersen Worldwide, where his primary focus was on the retail/consumer industry. He holds a B.A. from Stephen F. Austin University and an M.B.A. from the University of Houston.
